An Easy, Cross-Browser, Form Integrated Flash Draw Widget

With the coming of Ultra-Mobiles, Internet Tablets, Tablet PCs, Smart Phones and even PDAs, calligraphic interfaces are growing more then ever before. Though we do not see many sites taking advantage of this like calligraphic forums, blogs, etc.
Our goal was to create a calligraphic widget to put in forms that was as easy as <input type="draw" />; Simple, straightforward and completely transparent for developers.

how does it work?

This new kind of advertising builds on the notion that random might be good and unexpected, bringing some uncertainty and diversity, this it, it’s not always the same, it’s not boring. So, the exact time that an ad will be still isn’t possible to know. The place where the add will be presented inside the box isn’t known either.
These notion as some limits of course. An ad will always be totally inside the box and presented for a minimum period. As it is cycling, the ad will appear time and time again.
The only thing that distinguishes the period of time are credits. An ad with the credit of 2 will have an double minimum time and in the long run double time of another ad with only 1 credit.

Promoters can indicate the direction that the ad will travel – bottom/top, top/bottom, left/right or right/left -. All ad have a link, so when an ad is clicked, the browser will follow that link.

How much does it cost?

There are 3 parameters that will define the price:

• Credits
• Area
• Months in place

Price

Here is the simple calculation sum:

Price =Credits * Area * Months * 0.01€

So, an ad costs 0.01€ for every pixels during the time of an credit over a month. Not too expensive. :)
If your are wondering, it costs 32€ to have an Ad of 80x40 pixels with one credit for a week.
